Who We Are
Sophia Dassyra is a researcher, meditation teacher, and healing practitioner whose work bridges ancient wisdom traditions with contemporary approaches to transformation. Based in Pokhara, Nepal, she guides individuals and organisations on journeys of deep learning, inner healing, and personal growth — whether through sacred travel experiences, intensive study at the Wisdom School, or personalised one-to-one sessions.
Buddhist Studies & Himalayan Immersion
A dedicated practitioner in the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, Sophia has lived in Nepal since 2022, deepening her studies at Rangjung Yeshe Institute — the Buddhist Studies department of Kathmandu University — while pursuing independent doctoral research in Buddhist Studies. Her understanding is shaped not only by academic rigour but by extensive retreat experience, pilgrimage journeys across Buddhist Asia, and close relationships with monastic communities throughout the Himalayas.
This depth of immersion allows her to offer authentic transmission — teaching and guiding from direct experience rather than scholarly theory alone. Whether leading meditation sessions, exploring Buddhist philosophy, or accompanying travellers through Nepal's sacred landscapes, Sophia weaves together intellectual precision and lived realisation in everything she offers.
Healing & Embodied Wisdom
Sophia's healing practice integrates Reiki energy work (Usui lineage), Yin Yoga informed somatic therapy, and trauma-sensitive counselling. Grounded in both traditional contemplative methods and evidence-based therapeutic frameworks, she works holistically with body, mind, and spirit — helping clients release what holds them back, restore nervous system regulation, and reconnect with their innate capacity for wholeness.
Beyond formal sessions, she draws on expressive and embodied modalities — movement, breathwork, sound healing, and inner journeying — as pathways to self-discovery and lasting change. This multidimensional approach honours the wisdom carried not just in the mind, but in the body, the emotions, and the deeper layers of the self.
